Our mission is to inspire and empower our students to reach their fullest potential. Kiwanis Club Honors Terrific Kids of the Year
Students representing elementary schools from across Spartanburg County were recognized for their good character and citizenship Monday, April 18 during the Kiwanis Club’s 27th annual Terrific Kid of the Year luncheon. The honorees from District 7 are: Mason Deas, The Early Learning Center; Mayuvin Alani Sok, Chapman Elementary; Ty’Dravious Bargo, Cleveland Academy of Leadership; Autumn Johnson, E. P. Todd School; Briannah Ellis, Houston Elementary; Chase Staley, Jesse Boyd Elementary; Serenity Cromer, Mary H. Wright Elementary; Emma Rookh Sullivan, Pine Street School; and Laree Wilkes, McCarthy-Teszler Elementary; Terrell Edwards, McCarthy-Teszler Teszler Division; and Joshua Way, McCarthy-Teszler Secondary Division.

Career Fair at Houston

Career Fair at Houston
Houston’s Career Day was a huge success! We had over 20 booths set up which allowed students to talk to professionals from every walk of life and to hopefully begin thinking about their future! A special thank you to all of our participants and to our Guidance Counselor, Nichole Walker, for organizing the event.

Literacy Luau Night
We had an amazing turnout for our Literacy Luau night! Students and parents were treated to pizza, ice drinks, and tropical decorations. We even had a picturesque beachfront photo locale! Our students enjoyed hula-hooping and limbo as well as literacy activities in their classrooms. A fun time was had by all!

March Paws for Applause
At the end of each month, it’s time for us to recognize members of our Husky family who have gone above and beyond in the classroom. We had a whole new set of Top Dogs, new Terrific Kids, and a beautiful rendition of the Star Spangled Banner sung by some of our 4th and 5th grade girls. It was a great time! Pictured are our Terrific Kids from 2nd Grade.
