Vikings and Huskies Team Up!

Vikings and Huskies Team Up!
Every Wednesday, a handful of Spartanburg High School football players and Coach Miller come over to spend time with a few upper grade level students. The goal is to help the younger students understand that academics come before athletics. It is an opportunity for the players and students to share their journeys with each other and simply spend time together on a focused task.

Young Men and Women of Honor

Young Men and Women of Honor
Young Men and Women of Honor is a program to expose students to various careers, by inviting members of the Spartanburg/Greenville community who successfully work in those fields, to speak with our students for 10 to 15 minutes about their jobs and how they acquired them. In addition, this program will help our students understand the importance of dressing to impress, as well as various social graces such as proper etiquette (using the right utensils at a formal dinner, etc.) and when to use certain salutations, just to name a few.

Houston Reading Buddies
Some 6th grade students from Spartanburg Day School walked down Skylyn Drive to partner with our 1st graders in working on reading skills. It was great to see such community with our neighboring school!

January Paws for Applause
We are always eager and excited to celebrate our Huskies and all that they have achieved and this Paws for Applause was FULL of Top Dogs, Terrific Kids, and even a former All-American OL from the Unversity of Alabama and former Houston student in Mr. Boogie Cash. We had a great time celebrating our students!
